Dundee Celtic kept up their 100% record at the top of SFL-Dundee with a 6-2 win over AGB Dundee West at DISC on Thursday night.
Celtic made it four wins from four with braces from Stephen Ramsay and Ryan Sivewright and strikes from Alex Gibb and Paul Moran doing the damage.
Nico Hadden got both of West’s goals.
St Andrews University dropped points but remain two behind the leaders after their thrilling 3-3 draw with Dundee University 1sts in the uni derby.
Ben Hessell and Pierre El-Sayed Youssef goals had St Andrews 2-0 in control at the break before Dundee fought back with three goals in six minutes throug Paul Ferris’ brace and an own goal to lead. Hessell, though, struck again to keep up his side’s unbeaten start to the season.
Futsal Club 33 got their first win of the season, downing Dundee City 4-3.
City had taken an early lead through Mark McDonald before a man for each side saw red. A Michael McBrearty double and one each from Peter Hine and Adam Fairweather then put 33 well in control.
Steven McLauchlan and Jhony Pozo netted late on to make it nervy but 33 moved on to four points.
Dundee Uni 2nds kept up their good form with a 3-2 win against Dundee Stars to move above the 1sts.
Adam Hounat’s opener was equalled by Stars’ Damian Kunc before Charles King rattled in a fine second for the students. Gavin Thomson thought he earned Stars a point in the final minute before Hounat grabbed his second to make it two wins from two.
