Dundee West have already made it a perfect 10 this season – the question is can they go all the way and keep their 100% record for the rest of the campaign?
The reigning champions have swept all before them and lead SFL-Dundee by a massive 11 points after winning the opening 10 matches as they go into 2019.
A 7-0 thumping of bottom side Dundee City capped off an impressive 2018 after an unprecedented treble of league, League Cup and East Region Cup last season.
They fell at the final hurdle of the play-offs to the Super League – something they’re keen to correct this time around.
The other Dundee sides won’t make it easy for them, however, starting with Dundee Stars this Thursday night.
The two sides kick off 2019 in SFL-Dundee at Lynch Sports Centre with West looking to stretch their lead at the top even further before the rest have kicked a ball.
Aiming to stay in second spot is Montrose, who take on a second-bottom Dryburgh side struggling for form.
With third-place St Andrews on a free week and close rivals Dundee University and Dundee Celtic facing each other, Montrose can steal a march on the rest.
The battle for second spot separates those four by just a single point as we head towards the business end of the season.
Before Celtic and the Uni face off, however, Dundee West FD have the chance to put their recent Scottish Cup disappointment behind them by making it two wins in their past three league matches.
Their opponents Dundee City, though, already have a victory against West FD to their name this season and are determined to make it two.
On Monday, WFD were knocked out of the Scottish Cup at the second round stage as home side AC Perth won the penalty shootout following a 4-4 draw.
Matches get under way at 6.10pm at Lynch Sports Centre, spectators welcome.
