Dundee West are on course to retain their Dundee Futsal League title after extending their lead at the top.

They are now eight points clear of second-placed Montrose after sending Dundee Stars bottom of the table with a 6-0 win. Doubles each from Kris Brash, Jimmy Webster and Jamie Reilly secured the win.

Montrose, meanwhile, regained second after Dundee Celtic’s defeat by beating Dryburgh 5-2. Nuno Borges (2), John McIntosh, Ryan Sivewright and Andrew Maich gave them three points.

Dundee University moved to third after a hard-fought 4-0 win over Celtic. They rode their luck at times with Celtic rattling the woodwork more than once but it was the Uni who took their chances. Arran MacPhee (2), Craig Birnie and Pejk Amoroso netted.

Aarryn Jackson, Joseph Long and Jamie Weir gave Dundee City a first win of the season against Dundee West FD to get out of bottom spot.
